The Queen Victoria gold coin, known as the Gold Sovereign, is an iconic piece minted between 1898 during the British monarch's long reign. Made of 22 karat gold, it weighs approximately 7.98 grams and has a diameter of 22.05 mm. Its obverse features different portraits of the Queen over the years, including the "Young Head", the "Jubilee" and the "Veiled Head". On the reverse, the classic image of Saint George and the Dragon, created by Benedetto Pistrucci, or the royal coat of arms in some issues, stands out. A symbol of the economic power of the British Empire in the 19th century, the Victoria Gold Sovereign holds great historical and numismatic value.
