Bold Men's Looks

In this post we continue the theme of the last article, related to the Looks from the last edition of the Golden Globes.
Bold men's looks were a strong presence at the gala, showing that style and boldness are not exclusive to women on the red carpet. This year, many men opted for bold and modern looks, which mixed sophistication with creative elements, raising the standard of masculine elegance. Others innovated and challenged conventions by appearing without ties or bows at an event of this nature, supposedly always classic.
Here are some of the highlights that the Lusijoia team noticed:

Colorful suits: One of the trends - such as the suit worn by Manuel Luis Goucha - was the choice of vibrant colors, moving away from the classic black and gray. Shades of burgundy, red, white and blue caught the eye, giving a contemporary touch to these looks.

Velvet and textured fabrics: Some people opted for velvet outfits, which provided a feeling of luxury and comfort. The subtle shine and texture of the velvet, especially in dark tones like burgundy and black, gave the look a sophisticated look. Furthermore, textured details in satin fabrics and embroidered stones added an extra touch of exclusivity.

Classic tuxedo with a twist: Some classic tuxedos appeared with new interpretations, incorporating modern details such as contrasting satin lapels, asymmetrical cuts and different buttons. Some celebrities opted for white or pastel tuxedos, standing out on the red carpet and showing that it is possible to reinvent the traditional.

The 2024 Golden Globes showed that men are increasingly comfortable exploring and reinventing their style on the red carpet. Combining modernity and sophistication, this year's men's looks were proof that men's fashion continues to evolve, bringing new perspectives on style and fashion.

Looks in shades of Pink

Pink tones were also trending at this event, offering a more romantic and sophisticated approach.

Some metallic looks were a real explosion of glamour!
Gold and silver sparkles flooded the red carpet, giving it a heavenly and luxurious look.
Golden dresses encrusted with jewels and silver dresses with diamond rhinestones made some celebrities look like movie goddesses, while others opted for sparkling fabrics that reflected the light in a dazzling way.
We highlight the look chosen by Luciana Abreu that shaped her body in a voluptuous way and made her shine with her own light and the look selected by Mariana Pacheco (fiancee of the singer Syro) who, very pregnant, did not insist on hiding her big belly , but on the contrary, it highlighted it even more with the shiny dress that hugged the body.

Autumn Colors: Yellows and Brown

Autumnal colors, such as yellow, mustard and brown, added a touch of warmth and sophistication to the event.
These warm, earthy hues evoked a sense of understated elegance and were interpreted in a modern way, with bold cuts and flowing fabrics.
Long dresses in mustard, flowing dresses in brown and bold suits in yellow provided a fascinating contrast with the glow of the lights, creating a totally distinctive and warm look.
Some men also broke taboos and adopted an autumnal style in their looks. They rocked it!

From Midnight Blue to Celestial Blue 

Blue was also present at the Globe in various shades, from sky blue to midnight blue, bringing a palette that symbolized serenity and mystery.
Deep blue dresses were popular choices - like the one chosen by Júlia Palha - creating a dramatic and sophisticated look, especially in fabrics like velvet and silk.
On the other hand, sky blue - like the one chosen by Sofia Ribeiro - brought lightness, with flowing, dramatic, ruffled or romantic dresses.

Greens: From Emerald to Aqua Green

The shades of green, from emerald to aqua green, were also present with a lot of class and impact. These shades brought a natural and sophisticated vibe, with low-cut evening dresses or open backs and voluminous trains. We cannot fail to mention the dress worn by Dânia Neto, whose shade of green highlighted her skin tone and which fit her beautifully, in conjunction with her hairstyle and makeup and the beautiful necklace and bracelet that she wore to the gala.
Emerald green, in particular, evoked an air of royalty and opulence, while shades of aqua green represented a more discreet look.

Couples in tune (of colors)

At this Golden Globe, couples showed that they can shine even more when they appear together on the "Red Carpet".
Synchronizing colors and the style used by both reinforces the glamor of the event. Many couples opted for complementary looks, which highlighted their individualities but also created a harmonious and elegant look when they appeared together.
